Abbie Cornish (born 7 August 1982) is an Australian actress. Cornish was best-known for her performances in films such as Heidi, Fanny Brawne and Sweet Pea (in Sucker Punch), Lindy and RoboCop (2011) and Sarah as well as Geostorm (2017). Cornish earned her debut Screen Actors Guild Award with her last film. Gilpin was able to secure a variety of TV guest appearances in the subsequent years before she got her first break, in 2013, when she was offered the role of Nurse Jackie. Gilpin played the character Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin in 34 episodes until Nurse Jackie ended its run in June 2015. In the identical year Gilpin made an appearance in the thriller-mystery True Story (2015).
